Information on the village of Heiton, near Kelso in Scotland.
Name - originally, probably, High toun - the place on the hill. Graveyard Record - as the Church for the Parish is in Roxburgh, the graveyard there has usually been used. The Roxburgh Graveyard is recorded in Vol IX 'Roxburgh' of the Roxburghshire Monumental Inscriptions by the Borders Family History Society. .
